Coupled field analysis of IDI Diesel Engine Piston
Project Description
The main agenda of this project is to recommend a redesign of a IDI Diesel Engine Piston, which consists of stress deformation due to Thermal and Mechanical Cause. To improve the performance of the engine, a coupled field analysis of both structural and Thermal was carried out.
Problem Description
Role of deformation and stress distribution due to thermal and mechanical causes in performance of engine is studied.

Result
The Thermal and mechanical distortions are obtained. Redesign of piston is recommend to improve the performance of engine.
