The project involves the whole process from concept to production drawing for an automobile industry. After analysing the initial requirments, a concept was generated for the assembly fixture, 3- Modelling and assembly, whilst taking into account the existing manufacturing capabilities of the company.
Problem Description
Design a fixture for Retainer bearing assembly with emphasis on positional accuracy of the bearing assembly in the automobile transmission system.
Work Involved
Concept design of assembly fixture.
Fool proof arrangement for positional accuracy of the holes that are used for fitting with respect to the rotor center in the transmission system.
